This auction is for a GENUINE Ford Fiesta/Focus ST500 bootlid badge, The bootlid badge is on a piece of wax paper covered by a clear film which helps to get the correct spacing when mounting it on a bootlid but is by no means foolproof and is only there as a guide, The bootlid badge is a 4 piece badge and the numbers “500” are made in the same style as the “ST” badge, I must stress this is brand new and never been fitted to a car but it does not come in it’s origonal packaging and is classed as “new old stock” which means it could have been sat on a shelf in a dealership for a few years gathering dust, but it is origonal and definatley not a copy, They are manufactured by a multi stage process whereby the core is plastic injection moulded then they are chemically treated to be able to accept the metal coating process, This involves them being electroplated and a thin but very durable metal layer applied over the plastic inner core, Finally the red viynl insert is put in, The chrome layer is not some cheap chrome paint effect it is in fact real metal. I will ship worldwide, These are quiet rare now to get hold of and may not be available from Ford anymore. Dont be fooled by internet forums quoting that only 500 badges were ever made as it’s a load of rubbish, There were infact 500 of the Fiestas and 500 of the Focuses and under the German TUV system a manufacturer has to be able to provide spares or replacement parts for a vehicle for about 5 to 7 years after production ends and this includes badges so more were actually made and are floating around out there in Ford dealerships and peoples old car spares stock etc. These will be very well packeged and sent using a recorded secure service.
